Is it wrong to dictate what religious people wear?
The autumn programme for ‘Through the Drinking Glass’ is being prepared. If you like lively conversation about important topics, then join us in the pub.
The dates and speakers are still being arranged: keep looking here for further information
Topics proposed for this year are:
Should government interfere in the expression of religion (women wearing a burkah or a religious symbol etc.)?
War and peace - how appropriate is it for the armed forces to be overseers of the peace?
Is it wrong to spend money on sport (or science etc) in the face of world poverty?
Forgiving the unforgivable. Are there things that cannot be forgiven (no offence!)?
