The Women’s Fellowship annual Burns’ Lunch
Posted Saturday 29 January 2011 ~ 5:05pm
On Thursday 27th January the Women’s Fellowship celebrated the birth of Robert Burns. Over thirty ladies, and a couple of gentlemen, enjoyed watching the haggis piped in, and the lively address, before eating a most delicious lunch prepared by the ladies of the committee.
There was lively conversation and fellowship, and the event ended with musical entertainment from four pupils at St Mary’s School, one a singer, one a violinist, and two played a duet on the clarsach.
On 24th February there will be further musical entertainment from pupils at St Mary’s.
The next morning meeting will be coffee at the home of Judith Armstrong on 10th February at 10.30.
