Spring Fayre

Although there had been heavy rain overnight, it had cleared by the time the Spring Fayre opened. At 10.00 there was a large crowd waiting for entry.
Contributors had been generous and all stalls were well-stocked, allowing customers to spend freely.
Some of the raffle prizes had been generously donated by traders in the town.
A large number of volunteers willingly contributed to the success of the morning, during which time the Bishop left to lead a walk from Melrose to Earlston and back.
